This guide identifies which of the three main centrist parties — Labour Conservative Lib Dem — is best placed to defeat Reform UK or the Green Party in each constituency, based on how people actually voted — at the July 2024 general election, or at a later by-election where one has been held.
The recommendation shows which of the three received the most votes, making them the strongest tactical choice. In seats where Reform UK or the Green Party won, it shows which party came closest.
Six seats have voted again since 2024: Runcorn and Helsby (1 May 2025), Gorton and Denton (26 February 2026), Aberdeen South, Arbroath and Broughty Ferry and Makerfield (all 18 June 2026), and Clacton (13 August 2026). For those, the by-election result drives the recommendation and the 2024 figures are shown beneath it for comparison.
